Traditional houses and cottages near the centre sell convenience and character, but access by car can be difficult and parking almost non-existent. Homestays in the surrounding villages and tea estates offer calm and authenticity; guests need a reliable driver arrangement. Explain the stairs and slopes clearly, because many guests underestimate them.

Before operating, confirm which registration applies and whether the building's use is permitted. Check the property's structural condition and slope stability, and declare foreign guests through Form C (now called Form III).
